Favorite Heartbeats: Summer Holiday In Norway

Mosquito bites, sea sickness, claustrophobia, fishy smell, crazy shamans, wool socks and down jackets. Is this what a summer holiday should sound like? As a heat-loving person it seemed silly to leave for summer vacation and pack winter clothes and wool socks. Not nice!

So what do I remember from this horrendous sounding trip?

The world’s most amazing views, best of the best company, porpoises, King Crabs, fresh fish, campfire moments, clean and clear water, laughter, friendly Lappish people, sailboat’s gentle rocking, tent sauna, dipping in Arctic Ocean, nightless nights, make-up free troll hair looks and relaxed atmosphere.

Again I’m amazingly grateful to our friends who are overly kind to take guests to their beautiful boat year after year. I’m equally amazed every time 🙂

My brim hat and bikinis can wait for their turn in the closet for a while. The best vacations and unforgettable moments come your way, when you do not stare too much to mere degrees of heat. But I admit; a small heat wave would not do bad to us Finns right now. Please August, be good to us. #fingerscrossed
